Brave Enough: To Ask for Help

I’ve always been a bit of an “I’ll do it myself” person, and maybe you can relate. Yes, it can be brave to do things yourself. But sometimes it can be even braver to ask for help when you need it. Whether you’re a kid facing a tough situation at school or an adult carrying more than you should on your own, today I’m sharing how God can provide wisdom, guidance, and support when we’re brave enough to admit we can’t do it all alone.

This Week!

Monday Bible Story:

  • Elijah needing God’s help.

Tuesday Key Verse:

  • James 1:5 — “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault.”

Wednesday Prayer:

  • God, forgive me when I let pride keep me from asking for help. Help me be brave enough to say when I need help. In Jesus’s name, amen.

Thursday Question:

  • Is there something that you’ve been embarrassed to ask for help for, either in the past or right now? What would it look like to be brave enough to ask for help?

Friday Fun Fact:

  • Q: What quote is famous from Apollo 13?
  • A: “Houston, we’ve got a problem.” But what the astronauts actually said was “Houston, we’ve had a problem here.”
