Growing up, I thought the Bible was like a fairy tale—full of clear “good guys” and “bad guys.” But as I’ve wrestled with scripture, especially Ruth 1:6–22, I’ve realized faith is far more complex, and God often works through people who are messy, grieving, and imperfect—just like us.
