When I think of being pampered, my mind goes straight to rare spa days or the simple joy of someone else cooking for me—those small, unexpected moments that feel abundant and thoughtful. It struck me recently that the way those gestures make me feel seen and cared for is just a tiny glimpse of the over‑the‑top, beyond‑expectation love God pours out on us every day. That’s the kind of lavish love John invites us to notice, receive, and ultimately reflect as we follow Jesus.
