Have you ever read a familiar passage and suddenly a detail jumps out that you somehow missed every other time? It’s amazing how one small shift in what we notice can open up an entirely new perspective. That’s how it’s been for me as I’ve revisited the women of the early church—women whose names I recognized, but whose courage, leadership, and faithfulness I’m only now beginning to fully appreciate.
