God on the Go: WHO’S IN CHARGE: What You’re In Charge Of

It feels easier to make everything someone else’s fault, but what can you do? Well, self-control and personal responsibility are a good place to start. We need to manage our reactions and emotions, even in challenging situations. Daniel from the Old Testament illustrates how respectful and controlled responses can positively impact circumstances.

This Week!

Monday Story:

  • You are in charge of your feelings, how you respond and react to things, how you treat other people. Daniel treated those around him with respect, even though it probably felt like he had very little control over what was happening to him.

Tuesday Key Verse:

  • Romans 12:18 – If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone

Wednesday Prayer:

  • God, thank you for giving me self-discipline and self-control. Help me do my best with what I say and what I do. In your son’s name, amen.

Thursday Question:

  • When something is happening that you don’t like, what do you have control of?

Friday Fun Fact:

  • Q: How many people say they don’t have good self-control?
  • A: About 40% of people think they don’t do a good job having self-control.
