True peace and tranquility comes from hanging out with God, and putting your trust in Him. Using Jonah as a cautionary tale, we’re reminded that dodging divine plans is about as effective as running from a shadow, so to tackle anxiety like a champ, Julie shares her “three rule” technique: focus on three things you can see, 3 things you can hear, and 3 ways to move your body. So, buckle up and let God take the wheel for some serious peace of mind!
This Week!
Monday Story:
- (Story about blinker) Anxiety is the feeling you get when you don’t know what’s going to happen and you start to imagine all the ways things could go. It also means you probably have a great imagination! God gave Jonah an important job, but Jonah got anxious and distracted about all the things that could go wrong. He tried to not do what God had told him by running away on a boat. Peace is the feeling you have that even if you don’t know how it’s going to turn out, you know that God will take care of you.
Tuesday Key Verse:
- Romans 12:18 – If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Wednesday Prayer:
- God, thank you that you are there for me when I am worried. Thank you that you give me peace. In Jesus’s name, amen.
Thursday Question:
- What do you feel like when you’re worried?
Friday Fun Fact:
- Q: What is the 3-3-3 rule for when you feel anxious?
- A: Ask yourself what are 3 things you can see, 3 you can hear, & 3 ways to move your body.
