God on the Go: FOOTNOTES: Quirinius

God Has a Plan! What are your dreams for your future? In dreaming, it’s important to remember that God has a perfect plan for each of us. While it’s good to have dreams and goals, God’s plan may differ from what we want, but ultimately, His plan is what matters most.

This Week!

Monday Story:

  • Quirinius thought he was going to be known because of all of his career goals and his fame with the Roman people. But God had a different plan for why we know Quirinius’s name.

Tuesday Key Verse:

  • Luke 2:1 – In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to their own town to register…

Wednesday Prayer:

  • Dear Lord, thank you for the life you have given me. Thank you for the things that sound fun, for the dreams I have. Help me to remember that you have a plan, too, one that can be even better. In Jesus’s name, amen.

Thursday Question:

  • What is something you would like to be known for?

Friday Fun Fact:

  • Q: How many countries have a king or a queen on the throne today?
  • A: 43
