God on the Go: A REAL FRIEND: What Kind of Friend?

We talk a lot about how to be a good friend, but we don’t always talk about the kinds of friends we should be looking for. Julie shares the story of wanting to be friends with the ‘popular’ kids, thinking that would make them good friends.

This Week!

Monday Story:

  • The prodigal son thought he had friends. But when his money ran out, he had no one. He’d been generous. He’d tried to ‘buy’ friendship. But he was looking in the wrong place for friends.

Tuesday Key Verse:

  • I Corinthians 15:33 – Bad company corrupts good character.

Wednesday Prayer:

  • God, remind me that someone who could be a good friend might not be the person who gets a lot of attention or seems to have a bunch of friends. In Jesus name, Amen.

Thursday Question:

  • What do you usually look for in a friend? What do you need to change in what you look for?

Friday Fun Fact:

  • Q: How many people say they still have a friend that they’ve known since they were in school?
  • A: Almost 70% of people say they are still friends with someone they’ve known since before they were an adult.
