Play-Doh Heart | Why Church? | Psalm 16:11

I want a Play-Doh heart, a soft, malleable heart but sometimes when we expose ourselves to the elements of this world, the bad news in our social media feed to gossip, to anything that pulls us away from God, our hearts can harden. Play-Doh does that when left open to the elements… It dries up and becomes hard and brittle. Going to church helps me keep my heart soft. It gets my heart focused on Him with a soft heart worshiping, praying with my fellow believers, receiving communion, doing what Jesus asked me to do, remembering him… That’s the way to start the week. That’s why we go to church.
