Protecting Our Children Online

There are three ways to get into trouble online:

  1. Look for trouble
  2. Lack a plan for safety (not-not looking for trouble)
  3. Accidents

Yet in all three scenarios loving parents take the same actions: We build hedges around our family, networks, and devices, and we have the intentional conversations about how to use the best tech well.

SHOW NOTES

Verses references:
We get into trouble online because we:

  1. Go looking for you (Ps. 14:1-3)
  2. Go not-not looking for it (Proverbs 7:6-18) — a lack of preparation to make a good decision leaves you open to make a bad one
  3. Run into it purely by accident. We live in a broken world (Ps. 19:12-14, Rom. 7:17-18)
